Sri Manakula Vinayagar Articles is located right at No. 12 on North Way. We are on Noristhan Street, which is very close to the Manakula Vinayagar Temple. You can usually hear the temple bells from where we sit, and during festival times, the whole street gets incredibly crowded with people visiting. It’s a very active part of the neighborhood. Our shop isn't very big, but it holds everything we need. We spend most of our day sitting by the door, watching the crowds go by on North Way. It gets quite dusty sometimes because of all the traffic and footfall, so we are always cleaning the shelves. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a tight-knit community on Noristhan Street. We don’t really do anything fancy; we just keep the doors open and wait for people to stop in. Sometimes tourists get lost looking for the temple and end up at our counter asking for directions. We don’t mind. It’s all part of the daily life here at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Articles. We don't have a lot of employees, just the family and maybe a helper if it’s a busy month. We mostly just focus on keeping the place organized and making sure we don’t run out of stock when the holiday season hits. The weather is usually quite humid here, so we keep the fans running all day to stay cool while we work.
