True Cartons

True Cartons is located at R.S No.82/3, on the Sedarapet Main Road in Sedarapet Village. If you are in the Puducherry area, you might have seen our sign out on the road. We are an industrial outfit that focuses on making cartons. It’s a lot of work involving big machines and huge rolls of cardboard. The factory floor is always buzzing and it can get pretty hot during the summer months. We don't have a fancy corporate office. Our workspace is just a small room partitioned off from the main factory area. It’s got a couple of desks and a lot of sample boxes stacked up. We don't spend money on marketing or polished presentations. Our customers are mostly other businesses in the area who need boxes for their products. We’ve been out here in Sedarapet for several years and we know the other business owners nearby. Sometimes we help each other out with deliveries if someone’s truck is down. It’s a very practical, hands-on environment. We don't have a dress code; we just wear what’s sensible for working around heavy machinery. There’s always the smell of glue and paper in the air, which we’ve grown to like. We just focus on making sure the boxes are cut right and that the glue holds. It’s simple work, but it’s what we do every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on.
