Our place is over on Main Street in Venkadasamy Nagar, right in the Villinur Manavely area. You take the Thirukkanchi Main Road to get here. It is a busy little corner of the world. We are at No.13 and 14, so we have a bit of room, but it always feels crowded with papers and files. The office usually smells like coffee because someone always has a pot going. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at documents on the computer. It is mostly local people from the neighborhood who walk in. The fan spins all day to keep the heat away, but sometimes it just moves the warm air around. We have been in this spot for several years and watched the road get busier and busier. Neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask for advice on something. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just a regular door on a regular street. The desks are a bit cluttered with pens, notebooks, and old staplers. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and letting some fresh air in. It stays pretty quiet in the late afternoon when the sun hits the front of the building. We just handle the daily tasks as they come. It is not anything flashy, just us working through the piles of work that need doing before we go home for the day to see our families.
