If you drive out to the Sedarapet industrial estate, you’ll find us at Plot A-35 and 36. It’s a bit of a trek from the main part of town, but it’s a good place for a factory. We do a lot of technical work here, mostly with ceramics and plastic parts that go into other machines. It sounds complicated, but for us, it’s just the daily routine. We’ve got rows of machines and a team that knows exactly how to handle them. The heat in Pondicherry can be something else, especially when the machines are all running at once. We usually have the fans going full blast and the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the estate. It’s a serious environment because the things we make have to be precise. If a measurement is off by a hair, the whole thing is junk. We spend a lot of time checking and re-checking our work. It’s not the kind of job where you see the final product in a store; we’re just one link in a much bigger chain. We’ve got a good crew of local people who show up every morning, lunch boxes in hand, ready to get to it. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. We just have a factory floor where things actually get built. It's a busy, hot, and productive place to be. We just stick to the drawings and get things out.
