Phocos India Solar Pvt. Ltd. is located on the second and third floors over at R.S. No.86, Plot No.8, 9 and 10. It is right on the East Coast Road in Krishna Nagar, Lawspet. Being in Puducherry is nice because the sea isn't too far away, though we are mostly inside dealing with solar equipment. We work with charge controllers and other bits and pieces that make solar systems work. The office can get a bit cluttered with boxes and samples of new products. We have a mix of people here, some who are great with the technical specs and others who handle the shipping and sales. It is a busy place because solar is growing so much. We spend a lot of time checking quality and making sure the parts we send out won't fail in the heat. The East Coast Road always has traffic, so getting things in and out can be a chore sometimes. We do not have a big fancy showroom. It is more of a working office where we solve problems and talk to customers on the phone. Sometimes we have to explain the same thing ten times, but that is just part of the job. We have been in this building for some time now, and we have seen the neighborhood change around us. It is good to be part of the solar industry here. We just try to do an honest day’s work and get orders out.
