Pacific Impex

Pacific Impex has been operating out of No.4 Pampame Amman Kovil Street for quite a few years now. It’s just a small office where we handle the daily import and export tasks. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the temple, and the noise sometimes carries inside. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping documents and talking to truck drivers on the phone. It gets a bit chaotic when several shipments arrive at the same time, and the boxes start piling up near the door. The office isn't anything fancy, just a couple of desks, some old filing cabinets, and a computer that’s seen better days. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything moves along. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. My cousin helps out with the heavy lifting when we have a big load to move. It’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the labels are right. We aren’t trying to be some massive corporation; we just like getting the work done and going home at the end of the day. You can usually find us here from early morning until the sun goes down. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the orders to worry about that right now. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing.
