Mereville Trust

Mereville Trust is located in Auroshilpam, which is part of Auroville. It is a very green area, and we are surrounded by trees and a lot of quiet. Our building is simple and blends in with the surroundings. We do various types of work here that help the local community. It is not like a regular corporate office at all. People come and go on bicycles or scooters. We spend our time managing different projects and making sure things are running the way they should. There is a lot of cooperation between the people here. We share a small kitchen area where we make tea and sometimes share a meal. The sounds you hear are mostly birds and the wind in the trees, which is a nice change from the city. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, but we try to do it without getting too stressed. The atmosphere is very relaxed, but we still get our work done. We don't have strict hours like some places; we just stay until the task is finished. It’s a way of living and working that feels more natural to us. Sometimes we have meetings outside under the shade when the weather is nice. It is a humble place where we just try to be useful in our own small way every day.
