Jipmer Hospital

Jipmer Hospital is located over in Dhanwantri Nagar, in the Gorimedu area. It’s a large place, but we just think of it as the spot where we work every day. The campus is spread out, and there are always people walking between the different buildings. It can be a bit confusing for someone visiting for the first time because of how many different wings and entrances there are. We spend a lot of our time directing people to the right place. The trees around the area give some nice shade, which is good because it gets really hot out here. The buildings are mostly concrete and have that sturdy, functional look to them. Inside, it’s a constant hum of activity. There are carts being pushed down the halls and the sound of people talking in the corridors. We don't have much time for sitting around. The break room is small and usually smells like someone’s lunch. We have a lot of different departments, but at the end of the day, it’s just a lot of people trying to get their work done. Gorimedu is a well-known part of town mainly because we are here. We see people from all over coming in, some looking worried and some just looking for a bit of help. We just do our part in the middle of it all, day in and day out, and try to keep things orderly.
