You can find Hemex Trading over on Mariamman Koil Street. It is a well-known street in the neighborhood, mostly because of the temple nearby. Our shop is just one of many along this road. We have been operating from this location for several years now. It is a busy little street with a lot of foot traffic and scooters buzzing by. The atmosphere is very local. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we usually start the day with a quick chat or a cup of tea. Inside Hemex Trading, things are kept fairly simple. We have our shelves and our desk, and that is about it. We focus on trading various items that people in the area need. It is not a high-pressure environment. We take things as they come. When the temple has a festival, the whole street gets very crowded, and we usually have to adjust our schedule a bit. The building is older, but it has character and serves us well. We don’t go in for big advertisements or neon signs. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. That is the way we like it. It feels more personal that way. Dealing with customers on Mariamman Koil Street is the main part of our day, and we try to be as helpful as we can without making a big deal out of it. We keep our inventory stocked and try to stay organized as best we can in this small space.
