You can find Burhani Hardware at 138 Kamaraj Salai in the Pillaithottam area. It’s a solid neighborhood, and we’ve been sitting here on this corner for quite a while. The shop is filled with the scent of cut metal and sawdust. We have bins full of bolts, nails, and all the small bits and pieces that people need for their homes or projects. It’s not a polished showroom by any means. It’s a working hardware store where things are stored where they fit. We spend a lot of our time helping people figure out which screw or pipe fitting will actually work for what they’re trying to fix. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just know our stock and we know our neighbors. Kamaraj Salai is always active, and we get a lot of people just walking in because they saw the sign while passing by. The floor is concrete and a bit stained from years of moving heavy boxes around. We have a small counter where we tally everything up by hand or on a basic calculator. It’s a practical life, and we like the feeling of providing things that people actually use. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people want three different things at once, but we manage. We just take it one customer at a time and try to keep the shelves as organized as we can.
