Aravind Clinical Lab

Aravind Clinical Lab is situated at No 458 on M G Road. It is a very central location, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. The lab itself is mostly filled with equipment for testing blood and other samples. We have a small counter where people hand over their forms and pay for the tests. It is not a place where you would want to sit and chat, as we are usually very busy with the machines. The lighting is bright and the floors are white. We try to keep everything very clean because of the nature of the work. Most of our day is spent labeling tubes and entering data into the computer. M G Road is a noisy place, but we have thick windows that block out some of it. There are a few stools along the wall for people waiting their turn. We don't do any fancy advertising; people usually just come here because their doctor sent them. The results are usually ready by the next day, so we spend the afternoons finishing up the reports. It is a small team of us working here. We have a rhythm that keeps us going through the busy morning rush. It is just a practical, local lab that has been part of this street for a long time. We do the work and try to be as quick as we can for the customers.
