Am Clinic

Am Clinic is at No. 28 Polican Street. It is a relatively quiet spot, which is nice for a clinic. Polican Street doesn't have as much noise as the main roads, so it feels a bit more relaxed here. A small sign hangs outside so people don't miss us. Inside, it is just a couple of rooms. We’ve got the usual things you’d expect, like a scale and a thermometer. A lot of our day is spent sitting and talking to patients about their health. It might be a cold or some stomach trouble. We don't have a big staff, so you usually see the same person every time you come in. We like it that way because we get to know the people who live around Polican Street. The building is a bit older, so it has some character. Sometimes the windows rattle when a big truck goes by, but mostly it’s peaceful. We keep our records in files and try to stay organized. It’s a very local kind of place. We don’t have fancy waiting rooms with televisions or magazines. People just sit and wait their turn. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We are just here to help with the basic health stuff that comes up in everyday life. It’s a simple clinic for the neighborhood and we’ve been here for quite some time now. No one puts on airs here, we just work.
