Akash Plywood & Aluminum Centre

The shop is called Akash Plywood & Aluminum Centre and we are located at No.- 191 on Easwaran Koil Street. It is a pretty narrow street sometimes, especially when the delivery trucks are trying to drop off new sheets of plywood or long aluminum pipes. We have been here at this spot for a long while now. If you walk inside, you will see stacks of wood reaching almost to the ceiling. It smells like sawdust and metal in here most of the time. We don't have a showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It is just a practical place where we keep the stock and help people who come in looking for materials for their homes or shops. Sometimes we are cutting wood to size and the floor gets covered in shavings, but we try to sweep it up when we get a spare minute. Easwaran Koil Street is always busy with people going to the temple or just passing through, so there is always some noise coming from the front door. We know most of the neighbors by now. Working with aluminum and plywood can be heavy work, and our hands are usually a bit rough from handling the edges. We just keep things simple and try to make sure we have what people are asking for when they stop by. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us on our feet all day long.
