Pavan Silk Fabrics

Our place, Pavan Silk Fabrics, is at 3/1487 in Sreeramulpet. Proddatur is famous for its fabrics and gold, and we’re right in the thick of it. Sreeramulpet is a maze of small streets and shops, and we’ve been part of this landscape for years. We work with silk, so the textures and colors are always around us. It’s not a quiet job. You can hear the sounds of the town all day long. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric and the smell of thread. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have good lights over the work tables. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. Most of us just do whatever needs doing, whether it’s moving stock or talking to a regular customer who stopped by. The walls have some stains and the furniture is old, but it’s comfortable for us. We don't spend money on making the place look like a showroom. We’d rather focus on the silk itself. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other's business. On hot afternoons, things slow down a bit, and we usually have someone go out to get tea for the group. It’s a simple life, centered around this one street and the fabrics we handle every day. We don't need anything more than that to be satisfied with our work. It is what it is, and we like it that way.
