Vaishnavi Sarees

Vaishnavi Sarees is located at 11/13A Sarai Khuldabad. We are right near the Sabzi Mandi, so you can imagine how lively it gets around here in the mornings. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the motorcycles zooming past all day. It’s a very local vibe. Inside the shop, we try to keep things a bit more peaceful. We have stacks of sarees everywhere. I’ve lived in this area a long time, so opening a shop in Sarai Khuldabad felt natural. I know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers. We often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. The shop itself is simple. We have some wooden benches for people to sit on while we show them the different sarees. I like it when families come in together to pick something out for a wedding or a party. It gets a bit crowded in here, but we manage. I don't use any fancy lighting, just the regular tubes on the ceiling. I think the colors look more real that way. Sometimes the smell of the fresh vegetables from the mandi drifts in, which I don't mind at all. It’s just part of being in this part of town. We open early because the market starts early. That's just the way Vaishnavi Sarees has always been. It’s a busy, honest little place that fits right in with the neighborhood.
