Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital

The hospital sits on a large campus that most people around here know pretty well. We are located right near the Allahabad Bible Seminary, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The seminary is almost right next door. It is a very busy place, honestly. Since it is a government hospital, there are always a lot of people coming in from all over the city and the nearby villages. You see patients and families waiting in the hallways and under the trees outside. The buildings are older and show their age, with paint peeling here and there, but that is just how it is. It is not like those private clinics that look like hotels. We have different departments spread out across the campus, so there is usually a lot of walking involved to get from one ward to the other. Doctors and nurses are constantly moving around. It gets very loud during the day with all the voices and the general rush of a public hospital. We deal with everything from small fevers to much more serious stuff. It is a tough job sometimes because there are so many people to help, but we just keep going. It is a major part of the community here. Most folks just call it the T.B. Sapru hospital. It is a functional, busy place that stays open round the clock for anyone who needs it.
