Taj Garments

Taj Garments is located at 109/97 in Ahmad Ganj, which is part of the Nakhas Kohna area. It’s an old part of town with lots of narrow lanes and history. Our shop is just a single room filled with stacks of clothes from floor to ceiling. We don't really have fancy displays or mannequins. Instead, we just show people the pieces from the bundles we get. I’ve worked here for a long time, and the building has been in the family for a while. It gets really hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't the best, but we have a big desert cooler that helps a bit. People come here mostly for traditional wear and some basic cotton items. We don't do any marketing or sales pitches; we just tell people the price and let them decide. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people walking, so it’s never quiet. Sometimes it’s hard to get the deliveries through the narrow street, so we have to carry the bags by hand from the main road. The walls inside could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the stock to get to it. It’s a simple, honest place where you get what you see. We open up after morning prayers and stay until the sun goes down. It’s how it’s always been done here.
