Out here in Asrava Kala, things are a bit slower than in the middle of Allahabad. Our address is House Number 111, in the village area of Sadar. This is the base for Sp Agrofarming Export Import (Opc) Private Limited. Being in a village means we are close to the source of what we do, which is mostly related to farming and moving products around. It’s not a corporate office. There is a lot of dust sometimes, especially when the wind picks up across the fields. We have a small space where we keep the records and handle the calls. The village life is good because everyone knows everyone. We don’t have to worry about the heavy city traffic as much, though the roads can be rough. We spend our days talking to farmers and looking at crops. Then we come back to the office to handle the export and import side of things. It’s a lot of paperwork, more than you would think for a farming business. We just keep our heads down and get through it. There is usually a goat or two wandering around outside. It’s just a normal day for us. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just buy, sell, and ship. It’s what keeps the lights on and the work going in this part of Uttar Pradesh. It's practical work that depends on the seasons and the market, and we just take it one day at a time.
