If you walk down Laudor Road in Mutthi Ganj, you will find us at 888/A. Shri Nath Baba General Store is right near the Ram Krishna Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming in who are visiting family there. Allahabad weather is either very hot or quite chilly, and the shop feels different depending on the season. I keep the place stocked with all the essentials because you never know what someone might need in a hurry. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to the sound of horns and people talking. I’ve been arranging things on these shelves for years now, and I still sometimes forget where I put the smaller items like matchboxes or safety pins. It’s a local business, handled by us every day without much fuss. We don’t have fancy displays, just the usual jars of sweets on the counter and stacks of flour in the back. Sometimes the regulars come in just to vent about the traffic or the heat while they wait for their groceries to be bagged. I like the bustle of Mutthiganj. It’s a busy part of town and being close to the hospital means there is always someone around. I just try to keep the lights on and the shelves full so nobody leaves empty-handed.
