Shree Balaji Stores

We are located at 88 Mohd Ali Park Chownk in the Johnstonganj area of Allahabad. If you know where the State Bank or the Bikaner shop is, then we are very easy to find. This part of the city is always crowded, especially during the festival seasons. Our shop is just a regular place where we sell various household items. It’s been in the family for a bit, and we just keep it going one day at a time. The shelves are a bit old and sometimes they creak when we put heavy jars on them. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know us by the name and the location. In Allahabad, the weather can get really hot, so we have a big old ceiling fan that hums all day long. We start our day early, sweeping the front and making sure everything looks decent before the customers start arriving. Most of the people who shop here are our neighbors or folks working in the nearby offices. They come in for small things, maybe some incense sticks or a bottle of oil. We talk about the local news or how the roads are getting blocked again. It’s a simple routine. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just keep the store open and help people find what they’re looking for. It is just our way of life and we like it.
