Shakuntala Hospital

Shakuntala Hospital is over at 46/31/11-A Muirabad in Allahabad. It’s a fairly quiet part of town, which makes it a decent location for a hospital where people need some peace to get better. We have been part of the Muirabad community for quite a bit now. The building is an older style, not one of those new glass structures you see in the city center. We think that makes it feel a bit more like home for the patients who stay with us. We handle a variety of medical cases here. It’s a bit of a mix of everything, from general check-ups to more serious stuff that requires staying in a bed for a few days. Our staff is made up of people who live nearby, so there is a real local feel to the way we do things. We don’t use any corporate scripts when we talk to patients; we just speak normally and try to explain what’s going on with their health. The rooms are basic but they have what is needed. Sometimes the parking out front is a bit tight if there are a lot of visitors, but we manage. We aren't interested in being a high-profile institution. We just want to be a reliable hospital for the families in this part of Allahabad. It’s steady work and we take it seriously without needing to brag about it.
