Self Employed Chatrered Accountant

I operate a bit differently than most. My permanent base is at 117, Leader Road in Allahabad, which is where my roots are. But these days, I spend a lot of my time at N-49 in Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi. Being a self-employed chartered accountant means I’m often moving between these two places. In Allahabad, the office is more traditional, located in a spot that’s been familiar to me for years. Laxmi Nagar is a whole different world—very fast-paced and crowded with other professionals. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy suite. It’s mostly just me and the work. I handle everything from basic bookkeeping to more complex tax issues for various people. My life is basically lived out of a laptop bag and a few filing cabinets. I don't use a lot of corporate jargon because I find it unnecessary. I just talk to my clients like normal people. Whether I’m in Allahabad or Delhi, the goal is the same: just getting the accounts right. It can be a bit tiring traveling between the two cities, but it lets me help a wider range of people. My workspaces are practical and focused on the task at hand. There aren't any mission statements on the wall, just calendars with deadlines circled in red. It’s a one-man show for the most part, and I like it that way because it keeps things straightforward and personal.
