Sahil Studio

My studio is right in front of Karendar Vidyalaya in Manori. It’s a good location because of the school. Sahil Studio is mostly about taking photos and doing some editing. I see the kids going to school every morning and coming back in the afternoon. It reminds me of the time. The light in Manori is quite good for photos. I have a few backdrops hanging on the wall. They are a bit wrinkled. I should probably iron them. The camera is my most important tool. I keep it in a padded bag when I’m not using it. People come in for passport photos or family shots. Sometimes they are in a hurry. I try to work fast but the printer takes its time. The shop is small and can get crowded if more than three people are inside. I have a small fan that wobbles on its stand. It’s loud but necessary when it’s hot. Karendar Vidyalaya has a big bell that rings throughout the day. I’ve started timing my work by it. Manori is a quiet place otherwise. I’ve lived here a long time. The studio feels like a second home. I keep a few chairs for people to wait. They are old wooden chairs. They creak when you sit down. It’s just a normal shop doing normal things for the neighbors. I like seeing the photos come out of the machine. It’s satisfying when they look right.
