Raja Variety Store

My family has been running Raja Variety Store for some time now. We are tucked away at 12/2-A, Old Laskar Line in the Bairhana area. If you find Sant Nirankari Bhawan, you are basically right there. It’s an old building, nothing like the big malls you see popping up in Allahabad these days. We have a mix of everything, from small household items to things kids need for school. The shelves are a bit crowded, I’ll admit that. Sometimes I forget where I put the smaller items, but we usually find them if you give us a minute. It’s a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but inside it’s just the usual shop sounds. People stop by on their way home to pick up bits and pieces they forgot earlier in the day. I try to keep the prices fair because I know everyone around here. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local spot where we know most of the customers by name. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power acts up, but we just keep going. It’s practical, simple, and we’ve got most of what you’d expect from a variety store in this part of town. Come by if you’re in the neighborhood and need something quick. The floor is a bit uneven in the back corner, but no one seems to mind. We just keep the doors open and do our work.
