Rahul General Stores

My family has been running Rahul General Stores for a good while now, right here in Nai Bazar. If you know the Mirzapur Road area in Naini, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We are situated quite close to the railway crossing, which means it gets pretty noisy with the trains passing by all day, but we are used to it. The shop isn’t anything fancy to look at from the outside or the inside, just shelves filled with the usual stuff people need for their homes. I start my day early, pulling up the heavy metal shutters and sweeping the front bit of the pavement before the sun gets too high. Most people from around Allahabad - 211008 stop by when they’ve forgotten to buy something on their way back from work. We keep things like soap, flour, some snacks, and those little household items that always seem to run out at the wrong time. It is a busy spot because of the crossing and the traffic on Mirzapur Road always keeps things moving. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when more than three people show up at once, but we manage somehow. It’s just a regular local shop where we know most of the faces that come through the door. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that, just stay open until late evening and try to keep the stocks full so nobody leaves empty-handed.
