Priti Hospital

Priti Hospital is located on C.Y. Chintamani Road here in George Town. It’s been sitting on this corner for quite a few years now. Most days start early before the sun is even fully up, with the night shift handing over to the morning crew. The building itself has seen better days, maybe a bit of chipped paint here and there, but we keep it clean. People come in from all over the neighborhood. Sometimes it’s for something small like a fever or a scraped knee, and other times it’s more serious stuff. We’ve got a small waiting area that usually fills up by ten in the morning. You’ll hear the hum of the old air conditioner and the sound of footsteps in the hallways. The doctors here stay pretty busy, often rushing from one room to another with their charts. George Town is a crowded place, so there’s always noise coming in from the street—horns honking and people shouting. We don't have those fancy glass walls you see in the city hospitals, just regular rooms and a lot of familiar faces. The staff knows most of the regular patients by their first names. It’s a practical place. We do what needs doing and try to keep things moving. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the front desk, but we get through it. The front door squeaks a bit when you open it, but everyone is used to that sound by now. It’s just how things go at a local spot like this one.
