Press Hardware is tucked away in Sobhedar Ganj, right on the Railway Station Road. If you are heading towards the station, you can’t miss us because we are quite close to Panwari Lal & Sons. That sweet shop is a good landmark for people who get lost. The street is always busy with people rushing for their trains, and the noise from the engines and the horns is just something we have gotten used to over the years. We handle all sorts of hardware items here. It is not a big, shiny showroom or anything like that. Just a regular place with shelves full of metal parts, tools, and things people need for their homes or repairs. My day usually starts with opening the shutters and trying to organize the stock that arrived the day before. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep things in order. Sometimes a neighbor pops in for a chat while the tea guy does his rounds. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just selling hardware to folks who live around here or pass by. It is steady work and it keeps us occupied. The fans hum in the background and we just wait for the next person to walk in through the door. It’s just how things are around this part of the city, simple and regular. Sometimes we have a cup of tea from the stall down the way and talk to the neighbors. It helps pass the time when things are slow.
