Pratap Dental Clinic

You can find us at 89/276 on Muir Road, right next to Asha Hospital in Ashok Nagar. It’s a handy location since everyone knows where the big hospital is already, so we just tell people to look for the building beside it. We are a small dental office tucked away on the side of the main road. The clinic has been here for several years. It’s not one of those high-tech places with white leather couches or glass walls. We have some sturdy wooden chairs and a lot of old dental posters on the walls to show people how to brush properly. My assistant and I run the whole show. We spend most of our time cleaning instruments and talking to people about their teeth. Sometimes the dental drill makes a noise that scares the younger kids, so we try to keep some old toys and comic books around to distract them. The window looks out onto the street, so we see all the busy traffic going by on Muir Road all day. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have more than three people waiting at once, but we manage. We don't bother with fancy coffee machines or anything like that. Just plain water from the cooler and a place to sit. Most people come in because they have a nagging toothache or just need a routine cleaning. It’s a decent little practice for the local area and we just take things one tooth at a time.
