Nawaz General Store

Nawaz General Store is located on Muir Road here in Rajapur. We are quite close to the Regal Guest House if you are looking for a landmark. I started this shop because there was not much nearby at the time. We have all the basic items for the kitchen and some stationery too. Sometimes the kids come in for pens or snacks after school. It is a small space, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. You might have to ask me where something is if you do not see it right away. My nephew helps me on the weekends when he is not studying. We get our supplies from the main market every few days. Allahabad weather can be tough, especially the heat, so I keep the fan running all day. People usually stop by on their way home from work to pick up bread or milk. We do not do home delivery or anything like that, just over the counter sales. The shop stays open until fairly late. I have lived in this area for a long time so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. We try to keep the prices fair. It is not a big supermarket, just a local store for local people. Sometimes the light goes out and we have to use the torch, but we stay open. It is just a normal part of running a small business here.
