Kailash Stores

If you walk down Zero Road in Johnstonganj, you’ll find us easily enough. We are right there in the middle of all the Allahabad chaos. Kailash Stores isn't a big corporation. It’s just a family-run place that’s been around since I was much younger. We keep the shop open long hours because that’s when people need things. Whether it’s early morning or late evening, there’s always someone looking for something. We stock everything from small snacks to bigger household items. It can get pretty cramped inside when we have a lot of customers at once. The floor is old stone and the ceiling is high, which helps a bit with the heat. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy logo. We just have a door that stays open most of the time. The neighborhood is loud, and there’s always some construction or a festival going on nearby. It keeps life interesting. I spend a lot of my time talking to the delivery guys and making sure we don't run out of the popular items. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Word of mouth is usually how people find out about us. It’s worked for us so far. We are just a regular part of the street, trying to keep things moving one day at a time. It's a bit dusty and loud, but this is exactly where we belong.
