Jeevan Rekha Medicare is out in Govind Nagar, specifically near the Gandhi Chauraha in Koraon, Allahabad. Being near a main crossroads like Gandhi Chauraha means there’s always something happening outside. You hear the horns and the people chatting at the nearby stalls. Our place is pretty straightforward. We have a few rooms set up for seeing patients and a small area where people can wait their turn. It’s a local medicare center, so we don’t have those fancy glass walls or high-tech kiosks. It’s mostly just us, some wooden chairs, and our medical kits. We see a lot of folks from the surrounding villages who come into Koraon for their errands and stop by here too. It can get pretty dusty because of the roads, so we’re always wiping down the counters. The pace here is a bit slower than the big city hospitals, but we still have our busy hours where everyone seems to arrive at the same time. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just help the people who walk through the door with whatever is bothering them. The staff here is mostly local, so we talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It’s a humble setup, but it serves the people of Govind Nagar well enough. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like a permanent part of the Chauraha.
