Janta Stores

Janta Stores has been a part of Jayantipur for a long time. We are located right at the Preetam Nagar More on the G T Road in Allahabad. If you know that road, you know how much traffic and noise there is all day long. It is a very lively place to have a shop. We are right in the middle of everything in the 211011 area. My day starts with the sound of trucks and scooters passing by while I unpack the new supplies. The store is full of all kinds of things from soap to snacks and household items. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside sometimes when we have a lot of stock, but we make it work. I know most of the people who live in Preetam Nagar because they stop in on their way home. We don't have any corporate rules or anything like that. It is just a local store where we try to be helpful. Sometimes I am counting change and other times I am climbing a ladder to get something from the top shelf. The G T Road is always changing, but our shop stays pretty much the same. People know they can find the basics here without any trouble. It is just a simple business run by people who live right here in the neighborhood. We keep the doors open late because that is when most of our friends and neighbors have the time to shop.
