Jai Hospital

Jai Hospital is over at 66/2 Stanley Road. We are pretty close to Mahboob Ali Inter College, so we see a lot of students and teachers walking past our front door every day. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a good number of years. It’s a hospital, so we do have beds for patients who need to stay over, and we stay open pretty much all the time. The building is older, and you can tell it’s been used a lot, but we keep it tidy. Inside, it’s usually a mix of families waiting for news and nurses moving around to check on people. We don't have any big flashy signs or a modern lobby. It is just a place for healing and taking care of the sick. We get a lot of people from the Stanley Road area because it’s convenient for them to walk or take a quick rickshaw here. Sometimes the hallways are a bit narrow and things get a little loud when it's visiting hours, but we are used to it by now. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for people to get medical help when they need it most. It’s a busy life here, and there is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs attention, but we like the work we do. We have been near the college for so long that we feel like part of the scenery on Stanley Road.
