Hb Men is located on Vivekananda Marg in the heart of Allahabad City. The shop is specifically on Hewett Road, which is a place that never seems to sleep. The pin code is 211003. I’ve been operating out of this location for a long time. Being on Hewett Road means you get a mix of all kinds of people, from students to office workers. Hb Men is a straightforward barber shop for men. I don’t have any of those fancy modern machines. I just use my scissors, razors, and combs. The shop is just a small room with mirrors on the walls and a few chairs. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic on Vivekananda Marg, but inside we just focus on the haircut. I’ve lived in Allahabad all my life, so I’m used to the hustle. The shop is my main priority. I arrive early to set things up and usually stay until late. It’s a lot of work, but I like being my own boss. Many of my customers have been coming to me for years, and we’ve become friends over time. We talk about the Ganges, the local festivals, or just the daily grind. It’s a very grounded kind of place. I don't try to make it look like something it’s not. It’s just a place to get a haircut and maybe hear a bit of gossip from the neighborhood. It’s a simple business but it keeps me busy.
