Freezo Sahu Store & General Merchant is our little business in Allahabad. We are located at 456 Raju Bhawan on Old Laskar Line. If you find the Green Velly building, we are right beside it. It’s an interesting name, I know, but it’s been that way for years. We are general merchants, so we try to keep a bit of everything in stock. From big bags of grain to small packets of spices and soaps. The shop is in an old building, and it has those high ceilings that keep it a bit cooler in the summer. Allahabad gets very hot, so that’s a blessing. I spend most of my day behind the wooden desk, waiting for customers and checking my inventory. It’s a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep things clean. I’ve known the families in this area for a long time. We talk about our kids and the local happenings while I’m wrapping up their purchases in newspaper or bags. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We don’t have any big advertisements or sales. People just come because they’ve always come here. It’s a reliable spot in the neighborhood. I like the routine of opening up, sorting the stock, and seeing the familiar faces every day. It feels right to be part of the community here beside Green Velly. We keep going regardless of the season.
