Bhu Drishti Foundation

Bhu Drishti Foundation operates out of a space in Asafpur, specifically in the Kharkhari area near Baraut. We are situated at Ajit Singh’s place. Bagpat is where we call home and it’s where most of our daily activities happen. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. Usually, you’ll find us sitting around discussing whatever projects are currently on the table. The surroundings are pretty typical for this part of Uttar Pradesh. There’s a lot of open space and the people are generally hardworking. Being based in a small place like Kharkhari means everyone knows everyone else’s business, which isn't always a bad thing when you’re trying to run a foundation. It helps us stay connected to the actual needs of the people living around us. We aren't trying to be some big, untouchable organization. We’re just local people trying to make sense of things and help out where it's needed. The mail comes to the 250611 zip code and we check it when we can. It’s a bit of a drive to get to the main city areas, but we prefer staying close to the roots here in Baraut. Our office isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we can get together and work. We appreciate the quiet life out here. It gives us time to focus on what actually matters without all the city noise and distractions.
