Banjare Foundation

Banjare Foundation is based in Sangramgarh, over in the Pratapgarh area near Allahabad. We’re in care of Raj Kumari at 434-B. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here if you’re coming from the main city of Allahabad, but it’s a nice area once you arrive. The zip code is 230141. Our building is a simple structure that has been around for quite a while. Inside, it’s mostly just a few rooms with basic furniture. We have a ceiling fan that makes a clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Raj Kumari is usually around to keep things moving. We don't have a lot of fancy technology here. A lot of our records are still kept in physical files that we store in a big metal cabinet. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, mostly residential with a few small shops nearby where we buy our pens and paper. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or a marketing brochure to hand out. If someone stops by, we just tell them what we’re working on that day. It’s a very straightforward way of living and working. The floors are concrete and we keep them swept, but the dust always finds a way back in. It’s just a regular place where honest work happens every day without any fuss or polish.
