Baish Store

Baish Store is located in Shahganj, right there on Leader Road. It’s a busy spot in Allahabad where the noise never really stops. The shop is tucked into the line of buildings and you might miss it if you aren't looking. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves, though it gets a little disorganized when a big delivery comes in. Boxes usually end up stacked in the aisles for a few hours until someone has time to put things away. It’s a practical place for people living nearby. We don’t do any fancy displays or anything like that. If someone needs a kilo of rice or some tea leaves, they know where to find us. I usually have the radio playing softly in the background, though it’s hard to hear over the street noise. The floor is concrete and shows its age, but it’s sturdy enough. We get a lot of regulars who don't even have to say what they want anymore. We just reach for their usual brand of cigarettes or matches. It's a small life, but it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and the road gets messy. But generally, there's always someone coming in for a last-minute item. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the stock.
