Astitawa Sansthan Swatha Sewa Center

Astitawa Sansthan Swatha Sewa Center is tucked away in Jhalwa Bazar, which is part of the Dhoomanganj area here in Allahabad. If you know the bazar, you know it’s a place where everyone goes for their daily shopping. Our center is right in the middle of all that activity. We have been working from this spot for some time now. The building is an older one, but it serves its purpose for the health work we do. It’s a simple setup with a front area and some rooms in the back. During the day, the noise from the market spills inside, but we’re used to it. We see a lot of families from Jhalwa coming in. It’s the kind of place where people stop by to ask a quick question or get something checked while they are out buying vegetables. We don't have a big corporate office feel at all. It’s more like a neighborhood spot. There are benches for people to sit on, and we keep some old magazines around, though nobody really looks at them. The staff is local, so we talk to people in the way they are used to. It gets busy on market days, and sometimes the waiting area is full of people chatting with each other. We just focus on the task at hand and try to help whoever walks through the door. It’s honest work in a busy part of the city. We keep the fans on and the door open. Most people know us by now.
