Anush Stores

Anush Stores has been sitting here in Johnstonganj for a good while. We are on Zero Road, which is a place that stays active pretty much all day long. Allahabad is a city that doesn't really sleep, and this street is proof of that. My day usually starts with sweeping the front and getting the lights on. We carry a mix of things, mostly stuff you’d need for your home on a Tuesday afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We are just a local shop where you can grab what you need and have a quick chat. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes I forget where I put the new stock, but we eventually find it. It’s a very human way of running a business. No computers doing everything, just me and occasionally a helper. We see a lot of students and families walking by. The heat in the summer can be tough since we don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of fans that hum all day. But we are used to it. It’s an honest way to make a living. We don't make big promises or use big words. If we have it, we sell it to you at a fair price. That’s about all there is to know about us and our little shop here. We just hope to stay part of this street for a long time.
