Amit General Store

We are Amit General Store, and like a few others, we are situated on Vivekananda Marg near the Jhonstonganj Crossing. This is a very active part of Allahabad 211003. Our shop is a place where locals come for their quick needs. We carry a bit of everything, from notebooks for the kids to soaps and various kitchen supplies. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling to fit it all. It might look a bit messy to some people, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. Jhonstonganj Crossing is always full of energy, and we are right there in the middle of all the chaos. We've been serving this area for many years now. We don't use any corporate talk or polished language because that's just not who we are. We are just regular people working hard to make a living. Most of our customers are like friends to us now. We talk about the weather or the local news while we pack up their bags. We don't have those fancy scanners; we just know all the prices by heart. If someone is short a few rupees, we often tell them to just pay us next time. That’s how we operate here. Being on Vivekananda Marg means we stay very busy, but we wouldn't want it any other way. It’s a simple shop for a busy neighborhood, and we are happy to be part of it.
