Agrahari General Store

Our shop, Agrahari General Store, is tucked into Niruppa Colony at 38A. This is in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad, which is a place with a lot of history. Being in the 211001 zip code means we are in the heart of the city, but the colony itself is a bit quieter than the main roads. We deal in all sorts of general items that a household might need. It is a small operation, mostly just family-run. We don’t have a big team or anything like that. The shop is cozy, some might say a bit cramped, but we make it work. Every morning we sweep the front and get the displays ready. We have everything from basic groceries to small household gadgets. Living and working in Civil Lines is nice because you get a mix of different people coming through. We don’t do any big promotions or anything fancy. People just know we are here in Niruppa Colony. Sometimes the supply trucks have a hard time getting into the narrow lanes, but we manage. We’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up and start coming to the store themselves. It is that kind of place. Just a regular store where you can find what you need without a lot of fuss. Civil Lines has changed so much, with new buildings coming up, but Niruppa Colony still feels like the old Allahabad. Our shop is part of that old feel.
