Thewa Gallery

Thewa Gallery is located right at the Kotwali Chauraha in Sadar Bazar. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise and movement outside our doors. Inside, things are a bit different. We have our items laid out so people can see them, but it’s not a high-end showroom style. It’s more of a workshop feel where things are made and stored. We spend a lot of time looking at small details. The light isn't always great in the back, so we use some extra lamps to see what we are doing. Sadar Bazar is a crowded place, especially during the festival seasons. We get used to the hustle. Sometimes it’s hard for people to find parking nearby, so they have to walk a bit from the main road. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We’re more focused on the work itself though. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the week. It’s a simple life. No big corporate meetings or anything like that. Just us working away at the Chauraha, making sure the pieces are ready for whoever comes by to pick them up. We often forget to close on time when we are busy with a difficult project.
