Sangam International School

The school sits right on the Raibareli-Lucknow National Highway, so there is always a bit of traffic noise in the background. It is out in Katra Medniganj, which is a bit of a drive for some people coming from Pratapgarh. The location makes it easy to find, though. Being near the highway means we see a lot of trucks passing by all day. We have quite a bit of space here because it’s not right in the middle of a crowded city. The mornings start early with the staff getting things ready before the students arrive from the nearby villages and towns. Sangam International School is a big building with lots of windows to let the light in. We have different sections for the younger kids and the older ones. There is always some sort of activity happening, whether it is a sports match or just kids practicing for an event. The ground gets quite dry in the summer, but that doesn’t stop anyone from playing out there. We try to keep the place organized, but with hundreds of kids, things get a little chaotic sometimes. It’s just part of the job. Most of us who work here live nearby and we know the families quite well. It feels like a small community even though we are on a main road. We don't do anything too fancy, just follow the schedule and make sure everyone learns something. It is just a practical place for education.
