Janta Rice Mill

The mill is over in Sector 2 of Leharakhass, right by the Lok Vidya Peeth in Pharinda. If you’ve ever been near a rice mill, you know it’s a busy, noisy place. We have the big machines going all day to process the grain that the local farmers bring in. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the smell of raw rice is everywhere. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy sacks around and making sure the hullers are working like they should. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a small desk where we keep the records of who brought what. The trucks come and go all day, especially during the harvest season when things get really hectic. We work long hours then. It’s a practical business. We focus on getting the rice cleaned and packed so it can go out to the markets. Most of the guys working here have been doing this for years, so they know the machines by heart. You can hear the hum of the motors from down the road. Janta Rice Mill is just a local spot where we do the work that needs doing. We've been at this location for a while and the community knows we get their crop processed without any fuss. It keeps our hands busy and the bills paid for everyone here.
