Astha Hospital

This hospital is situated out on the Faizabad Sultanpur Road, specifically near Panchopeeran in Vallipur. It’s a bigger place than a standard local clinic since it’s a hospital. We’re right there on the main road, so we get a lot of people stopping in who are traveling between the two towns. It’s a busy location, and there’s always a lot of activity with cars and buses passing by outside. Inside, things can get pretty hectic, especially during the middle of the day. We have different areas for different medical needs, and a few rooms for patients who need to stay for a day or two. The staff here is mostly from the surrounding villages in Vallipur and Sultanpur. I spend my shifts helping out at the main desk, directing people where to go and trying to keep the paperwork from piling up too high. The building is functional rather than fancy. We have plain floors and simple beds, which is what’s needed in a place like this. It’s not one of those expensive private hospitals you see in the big cities; it’s a practical facility for the local community. We don’t spend money on big ads or shiny brochures. We just try to keep the lights on and be here for the people who live along this stretch of the Sultanpur road. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but it’s an important part of the neighborhood.
