Amit Telecom

Amit Telecom is located in Durgaganj Gram Ramapur, which is out in the Post Gaura area of Tahsil Raniganj. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, though it picks up when people get off work. The shop isn't very big. We have a glass counter where we keep the mobile phones and some of the accessories like chargers and earphones. Mostly, people come in because they need a recharge or their phone is acting up and needs a quick look. We spend a lot of time sitting behind the counter waiting for the next person to walk in from the village. Outside, the road can get quite muddy when it rains, so we are always cleaning the floor. It’s a lot of work keeping the dust off the display boxes. The internet connection can be a bit slow out here in Ramapur, so we have to be patient with the recharges. We also handle some basic paperwork stuff for people who aren't too comfortable with phones yet. The fan overhead makes a bit of noise but it helps with the heat in the afternoons. Sometimes we run out of a particular SIM card and have to wait for the distributor to come all the way out here. It's just a regular local shop serving the folks around Ramapur and Gaura. We don’t have any big signs or fancy decorations, just the name on the board and the items on the shelves. It’s been this way for a while.
