Kudarat Bricks & Block Industries

Kudarat Bricks & Block Industries is located right near the railway station. If you’re traveling on the Bakarpur-Balisana Road, you can’t really miss the turn-off. We are set up in what used to be the old ice factory. It’s an interesting old building, though it’s seen better days for sure. You can still hear the trains pulling in and out of the station throughout the day. That sound has just become part of the background for us. The yard is filled with rows of blocks and bricks drying out. We use the space around the old factory to keep everything organized. It gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up off the road. Most of the people working here are from the local area around Bakarpur. We usually start quite early in the morning before the sun gets too high and makes the work too difficult. The old ice factory gives us some shade, but mostly we are outside in the open air. There is always a pile of raw material being moved around by the tractor. It is a simple operation, really. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture or air conditioning. It is just a place where blocks are made and loaded onto trucks for the nearby building sites. The road to Balisana is often busy, so there’s a lot of activity right outside our gate. We just keep doing what we do every day.
