Venkateswaramma Minerals

We’ve been working out of Chinnamalkapuram for a while now. It’s a small place, 5/75 to be exact. Most days start early here because the heat gets bad in the afternoon. We handle different kinds of minerals that come from around this area. It’s not fancy work. There’s a lot of dust and we spend most of the time making sure the loads are right and the trucks are moving. My uncle started this and now a few of us manage the daily stuff. People know us around here because we’ve stayed in the same spot for years. The building isn't much to look at, just a practical space for what we do. We mostly deal with local contractors and other small outfits. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we catch up on the weekends when it’s quieter. There’s a tea shop down the road where we spend most of our breaks. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk, a couple of chairs, and the yard outside. The weather really dictates how the day goes. If it rains, everything slows down. Otherwise, we just keep at it from morning till the sun goes down. Most of the guys have been with us for a long time, so we know how each other works. That makes things easier when we have a big order to get out.
