Kaniya Creation

Our little place is on Street No. 2, Lane No. 3 in Teachers Colony. We are inside the Sai Mitra Nilayam building in East Mare Palli. It is a pretty normal residential street, so we try not to make too much noise, but the sewing machines can be a bit loud. We work on various clothing creations here. It is not a big factory or a high-end boutique. It is just a few of us working with fabric and thread. The floor is usually covered in scraps of cloth and loose threads by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to browse in. Most of the time, we just show people our work on the big cutting table in the middle of the room. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of orders to get through. We spend our time sewing, cutting, and making sure the zippers work. My sister does most of the patterns and I handle the rest of the business. We don't spend any money on advertising because we mostly get work from people in the neighborhood who know us. It is just a small local business and we like it that way. We stay busy enough without needing to be famous. It’s just about getting the sewing done right and keeping our customers happy. Sometimes we stay late to finish a dress, but we enjoy the work we do.
